LOUISVILLE, Ky. (AP) - A school bus full of middle school students overturned when it was hit by a car in southwest Louisville, but no students were seriously injured.

Louisville police say the bus was headed to Frost Middle around 7 a.m. Friday when a Mustang skidded on the wet road and struck the bus at an intersection. Police spokeswoman Carey Klain says the impact caused the bus to roll on its side. Klain says the bus was southbound and the car was going west.

There were 48 children on board the bus and all were transported to Louisville hospitals with minor injuries, said Michael Raisor, the Jefferson County School District's director of operations. Raisor said the bus driver refused treatment.

The Mustang's passengers, three students from a nearby high school, were taken to hospitals with minor injuries.
