Second Humane Society employee charged with euthanasia violations
MCCRACKEN COUNTY, Ky. — A second McCracken County Humane Society employee has been charged in connection to the ongoing investigation into violations of Kentucky State law concerning euthanasia practices at the shelter.
Sheriff's deputies served Dalena J. Hall, 46, of McCracken County, with a criminal summons Thursday evening. The summons charges her with ten counts of violating a Kentucky state law requiring those who perform euthanasia to be certified by the Kentucky Board of Veterinary Examiners as a Certified Animal Euthanasia Specialist.
Hall also faces charges of knowingly permitting records of animal euthanasia to be falsified.
She is set to appear in court Jan. 5, 2012 at 9 a.m. in McCracken District Court.
The investigation by the McCracken County sheriff and county attorney's offices continues.
