Sentences handed down in CaSondra Evrard case
MCCRACKEN COUNTY, Ky. - A family investigators say murdered a young woman learned their fate Wednesday.
It was in December 2010 when 21-year-old CaSondra Evrard was discovered dead. Investigators say the family of her friend, Jasmine Taylor, orchestrated a brutal attack, believing Evrard had set her up to be raped.
Clymer asked Taylor if he considered what his daughter, Jasmine, told him about the night in question might not be the truth. He responded, "Of course."
"I'll never be able to forgive myself for not doing what I should have done," Finley said.
Finley asked to be paroled in order to spend time with his daughter. The judge denied that request, sentencing him to a concurrent prison sentence of five years for facilitation to kidnapping and perjury.
