Single vehicle wreck on Ogden Landing Rd. sends one to hospital

MCCRACKEN COUNTY, Ky. - A one-vehicle wreck on Ogden Land Rd. Wednesday night sent one area teen to the hospital.

When McCracken County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to a call a little before 11 p.m. Wednesday, they discovered a 1999 Toyota Avalon, driven by 19-year-old Caitlin Weaver, on the side of the road and resting against a utility pole. Investigation revealed Weaver was attempting to negotiate a curve on Ogden Landing Rd. between Cunningham Rd. and Mitchell Lane when she overcorrected and went off the road.

Weaver was not wearing her seatbelt and was ejected through the rear window. She was transported to a local hospital for treatment of her injuries. The passenger was not injured in the wreck.

Deputies say wet road conditions and speed were factors in the incident.
