Tamms future could be decided this week

The future of Tamms Prison in Illinois could finally be decided in this coming Senate session.

Illinois lawmakers are set to tackle high-profile issues tomorrow.

In the Senate, there's a plan to restore funding for state facilities Governor Quinn wants to close down.

While it wouldn't force Quinn to keep Tamms running if passed, it would stop him from using the money for anything else.

Lawmakers will also decide whether or not to reject vetoes by Quinn on issues like expanded gambline and an assault rifle ban.
