US 62 in Lyon County reopened after truck crash

LYON COUNTY, Ky. - US 62 in the Suwanee community in Lyon County has reopened at mile marker 3. The road was closed due to the recovery of a tanker truck that rolled over earlier this morning.

US 62 will close in the Suwanee community in Lyon County at mile marker 3 as of 9:15 a.m. The closure is due to the recovery of a tanker truck that rolled over earlier this morning.

The highway will likely be closed for 3-4 hours to recover the truck.

Traffic that normally travels US 62 between Kuttawa and Lake City should detour via Interstate 24 between Grand Rivers Exit 31in Livingston County and Eddyville/Kuttawa Exit 40 in Lyon County.  Message boards are being placed at each end of the closed section to alert motorists to the closure.
