PADUCAH, Ky -- USEC has revealed their 3rd quarter results and reported a 44 million dollar net loss over the last quarter, citing the transition at Paducah's Gaseous Diffusion Plant as one of the causes.

The report pointed directly to lower sales of uranium now that enrichment has stopped, and higher costs involved with the plant's turnover.

It also stated that the company has paid more than $700,000 in severance to workers.
