LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Television and radio stations across the commonwealth have been honored by the Kentucky Associated Press Broadcasters.


Among large-market TV stations, WLEX in Lexington claimed the most first-place honors with seven awards.


In the small-market television bracket, WPSD in Paducah led winners, picking up 14 first-place trophies. Honors included Best Continuing Coverage for the station's reporting on the 2011 flooding in western Kentucky.


Among the first place awards WPSD Local 6 received include Best Continuing Coverage - Flood 2011 and Best Newscast.


Other first place winners in various categories included Photojournalist Chad Darnall, Reporter Todd Faulkner, Photojournalist David Dycus, Anchor Scott McGee, Chief Photojournalist Mike Spissinger, Photojournalist Mark Owen, as well as the entire WPSD Local 6 Sports Staff, Jeff Bidwell, Tom Annino and Andy Waterman.
