About 300 National Guard soldiers from west Tennessee are returning from a year-long deployment to the Middle East.

Half of them returned today in Obion County. They are members of the 913th Engineer Company and have been deployed in Kuwait and Afghanistan.

More than 160 soldiers from the 230th Engineer Battalion returned to their home base in Trenton on Tuesday.
