FULTON, Ky. - New details have surfaced about the charges against Joshua White.  He's the man accused of leading a standoff with police on March 25th.

Kentucky State Police are now petitioning the US Attorney's Office to seek federal charges against White.  Those charges are likely to include attempted murder of a police officer.

The Fulton County Sheriff says White got in an argument with his girlfriend's family on Tuesday, which led to a disorderly conduct charge.

He also faces charges like fleeing and evading police and DUI in connection with the incident.

State police say he drove to a house on Vernon Avenue where his two young children and his girlfriend were inside.  He then barricaded himself inside.

White's girlfriend, 19-year-old Kali Papierski, lived at the home with the two kids at the time of the incident.

Police say Papierski was in contact with White while he led the chase and is charged with hindering apprehension and two counts of endangering the welfare of a minor.
