Workers get close to closing gap on the Ledbetter Bridge

LIVINGSTON COUNTY, Ky. - If you've crossed the Ledbetter Bridge lately, you might have noticed workers look like they're getting close to closing the gap in the new bridge.

The Kentucky Transportation Department said that they are a week to 10 days away from putting in the middle piece.

While that's a great milestone, it doesn't mean the bridge will be ready for drivers just yet.  The hope is still to have it open by May 1st.
