PADUCAH — Diagnosed just two months ago, Pat Sparks is finding encouragement and hope in her 6-year-old granddaughter.

"That little girl right there, she is my girl. She and I spend a lot of time together and a lot of weekends and we're very close," Sparks said.

Cailey Warren is in the running to win the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network's "Show Us Your Purple" campaign. It's a nationwide campaign to raise awareness for pancreatic cancer. The winner of the campaign will receive a therapeutic mattress.

"I love my grandma to the moon and back," Cailey said when she explained why she wanted to win the mattress for her Grandma Pat.

Cailey is driving her entire family to learn more about diagnosing and treating pancreatic cancer, something her mom said proves Cailey has a successful lifetime ahead of her.

"God works in mysterious ways," Marci Warren said. "He has big plans for this little girl. She's gone pretty far in a short amount of time and I could not imagine how far she'll be six years from now."

Cailey is in seventh place in the "Show Us Your Purple" campaign and when asked why Cailey deserves to win, her grandma said it's Cailey's inspiration and drive that's making a difference in her life and so many more.

"It's given me more courage. It's given me more stamina. I've got to keep going. I've got to keep pushing this. I've got to keep making people aware of it."
