Lauren Adams has been a proud part of the WPSD team for more than two years. Lauren came to Paducah for the job but fell in love with the area (and her husband) and is now proud to call the Bluegrass home.
Lauren came to us from WFXL in Albany, Georgia (a station that counts former President Jimmy Carter among its viewers). While in 'The Good Life City' she worked as a reporter and anchor. Lauren also spent time as an associate producer in her hometown of Reading, Pennsylvania with WFMZ, Channel 69 News. She is a magna cum laude graduate of the Newhouse School of Public Communications at Syracuse University, earning her degree in just three and a half years.
Lauren is an Emmy-nominated journalist who has earned several awards from The Kentucky Associated Press. Lauren is an active member of St. Thomas More Catholic Church and Charity League of Paducah. She spends her free time with her husband, Jay and their two chiuahuas Peanut (Georgia-bred) and Bella (a Paducah shelter dog).
