Lauren Adams joined the WPSD Local 6 team in December of 2007. Working as a general assignment reporter, you'll find Lauren out and about on most days, and she'll tell you she prefers to be out getting to know people and sharing their stories.
Lauren comes to us from WFXL, FOX 31 in Albany, Georgia where she spent the past year and a half as a reporter and anchor. It was there she had the opportunity to meet and interview President Jimmy Carter, cover the salmonella outbreak in peanut butter, and investigate several of the biggest drug busts in South Georgia's history. Lauren also spent time as an associate producer in her hometown of Reading, Pennsylvania with WFMZ, Channel 69 News. She is a magna cum laude graduate of the Newhouse School of Public Communications at Syracuse University, earning her degree in just three and a half years.
Lauren's worked in newsrooms across the country from Los Angeles to New York, but is excited to call the Bluegrass State home. When she's not reporting, you'll find Lauren curled up with a good book, eating a Dairy Queen Blizzard, or in another city, traveling...of course with her beloved chihuahua, Peanut, on her lap.
