Lauren Adams joined the WPSD team in December 2007.  Lauren came to us from WFXL in Albany, Georgia where she worked as a reporter and anchor.  Lauren also spent time as an associate producer in her hometown of Reading, Pennsylvania with WFMZ, Channel 69 News.  

She is a magna cum laude graduate of the Newhouse School of Public Communications at Syracuse University, earning her degree in just three and a half years.

Lauren has received numerous awards in her 8 year career as a journalist but her biggest achievements have come from serving community where she works.  She sits on the board for The Charity League of Paducah and volunteers with The American Cancer Society and Easter Seals.

Lauren came to the Bluegrass a single girl with her beloved, chiuhuaha, Peanut.  But Peanut and Lauren have adopted two more dogs from local shelters and a human, Jay. Lauren and Jay have been married 3 years.  They enjoying traveling and attending Country Music concerts.
