In 1998 when Jason anchored the North Marshall Middle School morning announcements he never imagined he'd someday be on what was then called 'News Channel 6'. In fact, it wasn't until his sophomore year at Western Kentucky University that his passion for reporting and TV news was affirmed. During his senior year at WKU, Jason earned an "outstanding leader" award within WKU's School of Journalism and Broadcasting and landed his first TV reporting job at WBKO in Bowling Green, Kentucky. The day after graduating, Jason started working full time at WBKO.
Just a few months after that Jason got the offer he'd hoped for, a reporting gig at WPSD. It didn't take long and Jason started winning awards. He was Kentucky Associated Press' "Best TV Reporter" in 2011, and since then he's won numerous awards for investigative and spot news reporting.
When it comes to favorite stories Jason is torn; he loves asking the tough questions and getting to the bottom of things but also enjoys the lighter, funnier side of life. In his spare time Jason loves spending time with friends and meeting new people.
