Growing up on Florida's Space Coast provided Robert the unique opportunity to watch every shuttle launch from his driveway and witness firsthand how hurricanes can change entire communities.

This led him to enroll at the University of Florida, where he graduated with a degree in Telecommunications-News.

While at UF, Robert anchored and reported for the on-campus stations, WUFT-FM and WUFT-TV. His work contributed to a 2008 Society of Professional Journalists National First Place Award. He was also chosen to serve as the first Bureau Chief for ABC News on Campus. Robert supervised a staff of student journalists who worked closely with and reported for ABC News. That took him throughout the state covering stories including Tropical Storm Fay, the 2008 Presidential election, the BCS championship game in Miami and the Superbowl.

Robert started his professional career in 2009 at WCJB, the ABC affiliate in Gainesville, after interning there for four years. Anchoring, reporting, producing – you name it, he did it.

In 2010, he joined WPSD Local 6.  In addition to his reporting duties he anchors WPSD Local 6 Today on Saturday and Sunday mornings.

In his spare time, he enjoys watching the news, of course, and cheering on the Florida Gators.
