Hard-fought Missouri Senate race comes down to today
Incumbent Democrat Claire McCaskill and Republican challenger Todd Akin spent yesterday trying to rally their supporters.
Akin made a stop at the GOP Headquarters in St. Charles County before wrapping up in High Ridge.
The Akin campaign forged ahead after his controversial comments on "legitimate rape" cost him the support of some Republicans. Now he finds himself in a very close race.
Yesterday, Akin said the key to victory is enthusiasm and voter turnout.
McCaskill was in Kansas City yesterday talking to campaign workers at a "Get Out the Vote" staging location.
She acknowledged the hard-fought campaign and hoped voters could see through the rhetoric.
Sen. McCaskill went onto another "Get Out the Vote" location in Kansas City before heading to a rally in Bridgeton last night.
