Missouri lawmakers propose sales tax increase for road, transportation projects

MISSISSIPPI COUNTY, Mo. - Lawmakers in Missouri's legislature are proposing a one cent sales tax increase to fund future road and transportation projects.

According to lawmakers, the increase would help create $7.9 billion dollars in revenue during the 10 year life of the tax.
