New Year's pellet gun incident lands Scott County, Missouri man in jail
SALCEDO, Mo. - A Salcedo, Missouri man was arrested after an incident Tuesday morning that injured another man.
According to Scott County Sheriff Rick Walter, 33-year-old Andrew Clark forced his way into a Sikeston home yesterday morning. He then allegedly got into a struggle with the homeowner, which ended when the unidentified man was shot in the chest with a pellet gun.
Clark ran, but was caught a short time later by a state trooper.
The victim was treated on the scene for minor injuries.
Further investigation revealed that Clark became upset with the man on New Year's Eve and went to the home to scare him. Clark has been charged with 1st Degree Burglary and 2nd Degree Assault.
A judge set Clark's bond at $15,000.
