Sikeston police search for construction equipment thief

SIKESTON, Mo. - Sikeston police are asking for the public's help in tracking down a thief. 

According to the Sikeston Department of Public Safety, Joel Nix reported a theft from his yard on West Murray Lane.   A twin-tank air compressor and Hobart welder/generator were both taken from the back of a truck overnight on October 18th.    

Both items were rentals from "Mike Rentals" construction rental company and are worth $5500.

Investigators believe the stolen property might still be in the Sikeston or Malden area.
