Southeast Missouri recycling center a 'total loss' after fire

JACKSON, Mo. - A recycling center in southeast Missouri caught fire, destroying the building.

According to the Cape Girardeau County Sheriff's Department, the fire at Missouri Plastics on Highway Y started after 10 p.m. Thursday.

No one was inside the building and no injuries were reported.

A dispatcher described the building as a "total loss."

There is no word on what started the fire.
