The mother of Missouri Sen. Claire McCaskill has died. McCaskill's campaign said that 84-year-old Betty Anne Ward McCaskill died Monday at her home in St. Louis. The Democratic senator had said Saturday that her mother suffered from "acute cardio-renal failure" and had lost consciousness at several points in recent days.

Former presidential candidate Mike Huckabee is making another appearance on Missouri television screens in support of Republican Senate candidate Todd Akin.
Akin's campaign said the new ad will start Saturday. In it, Huckabee says: "I know a good man with a Christian heart, who's withstood a test of fire and emerged from the flame as strong as steel. His name is Todd Akin.".

One ordinance updates how the city handles an increase of people using scooters. The ordinance proposes that anyone riding any kind of motorized bicycle be required to wear a helmet within city limits. They also presented an ordinance that prohibits anyone under the age of 21 to be in an establishment that serves liquor after 10:00 p.m. unless they are with a legal guardian.
