Fort Campbell soldier dies in Afghanistan

FORT CAMPBELL, Ky. (AP) - The U.S. Defense Department says a Fort Campbell soldier has died after being struck by enemy fire in Afghanistan.
   
The military says 31-year-old Staff Sgt. Thomas A. Baysore Jr. of Milton, Pa., died Thursday in Paktya Province, Afghanistan.
   
He was assigned to the 1st Battalion, 506th Infantry Regiment, 4th Brigade Combat Team, 101st Airborne Division at Fort Campbell.

Governor Steve Beshear will order that flags at all state office buildings be lowered to half-staff from sunrise to sunset on the day of Staff Sgt. Baysore’s interment for which arrangements are still pending.
