Kentucky feed store helping horses in Oklahoma

VERSAILLES, Ky. (AP) - A central Kentucky feed store is helping some four-legged tornado victims of in Oklahoma.
   
Woodford Feed Co. in Versailles has been collecting donations from customers to help horses that were injured when a devastating tornado struck last month in Moore, Okla.
   
The Lexington Herald-Leader (http://bit.ly/18BAmbH) reports store employees were loading feed and stall bedding onto a truck Wednesday to be delivered to Equine Medical Associates in in Edmond, Okla.
   
Hubbard Transportation, which takes horses and cattle all over the country, is delivering the products.
   
Judi Baumann, a Kentucky area manager for Hubbard, says some horses in Oklahoma suffered facial damage and lost teeth and that "clinics there are desperate for (stall) wood shavings" because they help to limit infection after surgeries.
