Worst jobs of 2012 make for interesting list


WASHINGTON - What do a soldier, waiter/waitress, dishwasher, lumberjack, and butcher have in common? They're all considered some of the worst jobs, according to the CareerCast 2012 Worst Jobs List.

At the top of the list--which unlike most "top" lists, is not considered an honor--is lumberjack. Safety issues and high unemployment make it the worst on the countdown.

Also on the list are dairy farmer and oil rig worker. Harry Stamper may have made it look thrilling in Armageddon, but demands of the work environment and a weak hiring outlook make working on oil drills and pipelines less than desirable.
