UTM to revoke ATO fraternity chapter registration after hazing incident
MARTIN, Tenn - Pending an appeal option, the University of Tennessee Martin will revoke university registration for the Alpha Tau Omega Fraternity chapter.
This decision follows an internal investigation which concluded in violations of studenty conduct, including endangering another person and participation in hazing.
The chapter has 5 days to either accept the revokation or request an administrative hearing.
If the chapter accepts, it will cease operations for 18 months and reapply for registration June 2015. A year of probation would follow the June 2015 re-registration.
