Dresden prison inmate killed in Pa.

DRESDEN, Tenn. (AP) - A West Tennessee man has been killed while serving a prison sentence in Pennsylvania.

Spokesman John Adami at the federal penitentiary in Lewisburg, Pa., said 34-year-old Adam Martin of Dresden died Tuesday, following a fight with another inmate. Martin was pronounced dead at a hospital.

WCMT-AM radio reported Martin's funeral will be at 3 p.m. Sunday at Bowlin Funeral Home in Dresden.

Martin was serving a sentence on drug and weapons convictions. Adami said Martin was sentenced in the western district of Tennessee on convictions for methamphetamine and having an illegal weapon. He had also been sentenced for having contraband in prison and was serving a 241-month term, which began in May 2009.

The FBI is investigating Martin's killing, which Adami said is routine in inmate deaths.
