Floodwaters causing traffic delays in Nashville area
NASHVILLE, Tenn. - If you're heading to Nashville from the Local 6 area, be careful not to get caught in flooding that has affected major highways in the region.
NBC affiliate WSMV reports that heavy rains flooded several highways in the Nashville area. Roads that have been affected include the Briley Parkway at Interstate 24 and near Opry Mills Mall.
According to WSMV, several flooded roads have reopened throughout the morning, but drivers should remain alert when traveling to and from the area as flood advisories remain in effect.
