WEAKLEY COUNTY, Tenn. - A Tennessee man facing murder charges will be arraigned today.

Weakley County investigator Randall McGowan says 40-year-old Eric McAlister killed his father, David McAlister, by hitting him with a pickup truck in the yard of a home on Shades Bridge Road.

Investigators say McAlister then got a rifle and fired several shots at his brother, Raymond. He then allegedly shot and killed a friend, Timothy Betts, who often checked on Eric's father.

Eric surrendered to deputies when they arrived at the scene.

An autopsy is being performed.

Eric McAlister is charged with two counts of first degree murder and one count of criminal attempt to commit first degree murder.
