Police: 3 men involved in possible hate crime robbery
PARIS, Tn. - Paris, Tennessee police are looking for three men who may have been involved in a possible hate crime Wednesday night.
Police were called to Healthy Tyme, a health food store on East Wood Street, after the owner says he was attacked and beaten when he was closing the business for the night.
The man claims three men were shouting homophobic slurs and even wrote a homophobic word on his forehead.
The owner also claims the three men set his business on fire. He says he barricaded himself in the office.
Police say the men got away with $1,500 and caused about $5,500 in damage.
No arrests have been made. The owner was taken to Henry County Medical Center for his injuries.
