Shooting kills one, injures another

PALMERSVILLE, Tn-  Investigators in Weakley County, Tennessee confirm to Local 6 one man has died and another has been injured following an early morning argument.

It happened on Harrison Road, north of Palmersville.  The 911 dispatch center, located in nearby Dresden, took the call at 10:07 Friday morning.

Oren Willis, 68, had stopped along Palmersville Highway 89, asking someone to call an ambulance, saying he had been shot.

According to investigators, Willis also told people there he had shot Roy McAlpin, 64, at his lawnmower repair shop on Harrison Road.  When deputies arrived there at 10:19, McAlpin was dead of a gunshot wound to the chest.

Willis had a gunshot wound to his chest and arm and was flown to Vanderbilt Medical Center.  An update on his condition was not known.

The investigation is continuing.
