OBION, Tenn. - People on probation in one west Tennessee town thought they were paying their debts, but it turns out they were lining the pockets of their probation officer instead.  That's according to the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation.

On Monday, investigators arrested 44-year-old Martha Sue Moore and charged her with two counts of theft over $60,000 and one count of money laundering.  The Obion County grand jury indicted her for the alleged crimes.

TBI investigators say between 2006 and 2013, Moore stole more than $63,000 from Westate Corrections Network while she was a drug court probation officer.

Moore allegedly issued receipts to probationers for money being turned in to her, then took the money.

The thefts were discovered in April while Westate prepared for an audit.  The investigation led to Moore.

Investigators booked Moore into the Obion County Jail on a $150,000 bond.  She scheduled to be in court on August 16.
