KY 2619/White School Rd. in Caldwell Co. to close May 14
CALDWELL COUNTY, Ky. - A contractor for the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet plans to close KY 2619/White School Road in Caldwell County at the I-69/Western Kentucky Parkway Overpass starting Monday, May 14.
This closure on KY 2619/White School Road at mile point 0.184 is to facilitate removal of the existing overpass and construction of a new bridge across I-69 at the site. This closure point on KY 2619 is between Board Road and KY 2612.
The roadway will be closed at this site immediately following the morning school bus run on Monday. The contractor expects this overpass replacement project to take 75 working days.
In addition to the closure of KY 2619, this work zone will include rolling road blocks and traffic stoppages on Interstate 69/The Western Kentucky Parkway for Tuesday and Wednesday. It may also include lane restrictions and shifts for traffic near the 20 mile marker on I-69/The WK Parkway as the work progresses.
This project is among several that will be required through the summer construction season as part of $9.9 million in upgrades along the former Western Kentucky Parkway to bring it up to federal standards now that it is part of I-69.
