LYON COUNTY, Ky. — A rollover wreck on I-24 in Lyon County ejected both the driver and his passenger, closing the eastbound lanes of the interstate between exits 45 and 46 Thursday afternoon. Those lanes have since reopened.

Kentucky State Police report the driver, Jerome Calfee, of Virginia Beach, Virginia, was eastbound on I-24 when the vehicle ran off the left shoulder and into the median.

He then overcorrected to the right, skidded across all lanes and struck a guardrail.

The vehicle then overturned, ejecting both the Calfee and his passenger, Katherine Webb, also of Virginia Beach.

The Caldwell County Ambulance Service took Calfee and Webb to Jenny Stuart Medical Center with unknown injuries.

KSP cited Calfee for driving with a suspended license.

Neither Calfee nor Webb were wearing a seat belt.
