Ruby Allen Miller, 82, of Paducah, died Wednesday at Western Baptist Hospital.
Ruby was born in Cadiz, KY on August 16, 1928 to the late James Orval Allen and Daisy Pearl Bridges Allen and was a 1946 graduate of Trigg County High School. On July 20, 1946, she married Frank Larkins Miller and in 1952 they moved to Paducah. She worked as bookkeeper for Forest Hills Housing Corporation and retired after over twenty years employment. Ruby was a member of Baptist Tabernacle until it disbanded, then transferred her membership to Lone Oak First Baptist Church. Ruby died on the sixty-fifth anniversary of her marriage to Frank Larkins Miller, Sr., who survives her.
Also surviving are three children, Patricia Miller Wallace (Johnny), Pamela Miller Rafferty (Jim), and Frank Larkins Miller, Jr. (Amanda) all of Paducah; four grandchildren, John Kevin Wallace (Tara) of Sugar Land, TX, Linda Lorraine (Rainey) Rafferty-Cortes (Carlos) of Coral Springs, FL, Nathaniel James Miller of Chester, VA, and Adam Larkins Miller of Paducah; a step-grandson, Jeremy Ray Turner of Paducah; and four great-grandchildren.
Preceding her in death was a sister, Sarah May Guier; three brothers, William Orval Allen, James Garnett Allen, and John Henry “Happy” Allen; her parents; and a granddaughter, Melodi Dawn Wallace.
Graveside services will be held at 11 am Saturday at Mt. Kenton Cemetery with Rev. Harley Dixon officiating.
There will be no public visitation. Milner and Orr Funeral Home of Paducah is in charge of arrangements.
