Margaret "Hazel" Wardlaw

Margaret "Hazel" Wardlaw 77, of Marion Ky. died Monday April 15, 2013 at Crittenden County Health and Rehab from complications of a recent illness, Hazel was a life long member of the Marion United Methodist Church, Member of the Democratic Woman's Club of Crittenden County where she worked on several local and state campaigns and was also a member of the Marion Woman's Club where she served on various committees.
Hazel was also proud to have been commissioned as a Kentucky Colonel in 1990 by Governor Wallace G. Wilkinson. She Loved her family,Friends and taking care of her many flower beds.
Mrs. Wardlaw is survived by her husband of 60 years John M. Wardlaw, a daughter Gaye W. (Joe) Porter of Marion KY. , two Grandchildren Jason W. Porter and Jody Dean (Adria) Porter of Marion,three Great Grandchildren Peyton Porter of Madisonville Ky. and Carly & Jack Porter of Marion . She is also survived by her Brother Robert "Buddy" Watson of Marion and her Sister Janis (Dennis) Jones of Bowling Green KY. and Several Nieces, Nephews and Cousins.
She was Preceded in death by her Parents Loyce and Helen Watson and a sister Lois Dean "Deanie" Watson.
Mrs. Wardlaw's celebration of life service will be held 1:00pm Friday April 19th 2013 at Gilbert Funeral Home in Marion KY. Friends may visit the funeral home from 10:00 am until service time at 1:00pm. There will be no graveside service.
