EDDYVILLE, KY - Mr. Marvin Mullinix, 89, of Eddyville, passed away Thursday, February 14, 2013 at his residence in Eddyville.

Mr. Mullinix was a retired administration for School District 186 in Springfield, IL with over 40 years service. He was a member of the Springfield Art Association in Springfield, IL and a member of Eddyville First Baptist Church in Eddyville, KY.

He is survived by two sons, Kent Mullinix and his wife, Debbie, of Jacksonville, IL and Stan Mullinix and his wife, Linda, of Eddyville, KY; five grandchildren, Jennifer Million, Jesse Mullinix, Erika Hall, Heather Gillespie, Angela Kilgore; nine great grandchildren, Jason Mullinix, MacKenzie Kilgore, Alexis Gillespie, Amber Gillespie, Christopher Mullinix, Mark Allen Gillespie, Zack Kilgore, Sydney Mullinix, Harley Hall; two great-great grandchildren, Heather Mullinix and Ayden Mullinix; two brothers, John Mullinix and Larry Mullinix, both of Carrier Mills, IL.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 60 years, Mildred Robinson Mullinix and a great-great grandson, C.J. Mullinix; two brothers, Norman and Frank Mullinix and one sister, Shirley Thomas. His parents were Roy Lee Mullinix and Lillian Parrish Mullinix.

Visitation will be 4:00-8:00 P.M. Sunday, February 17, 2013 at Lakeland Funeral Home in Eddyville, KY.

Funeral services are scheduled for 10:00 A.M. Monday, February 18, 2013 at Lakeland Funeral Home Chapel in Eddyville with Rev. Tim Perdue officiating.

Graveside burial service will be at 1:30 P.M. Monday, February 18, 2013 in Dillinger Cemetery, Hwy 51 in Carbondale, IL.
