Mrs. Thelma Ray Slaughter, 72, of Phoenix, Arizona, formerly of Hardin, KY, died Tuesday, November 15, 2011 of natural causes.
She had a passion for helping others and was an asset to the organization and execution of the Memorial Charity Golf Tournament for the Foundation for Burns and Trauma held in Arizona.
She is survived by 4 children: James (Tina) Hoyt, Robin (Terry) Baugher, Jeff Hoyt and Leza Hoyt.
Ms. Slaughter has 7 grandchildren: Melissa (Jeff) Ross, Heather (Justin) Olmstead, Daniel McCoy, April McCoy, Ryon and Tayla Hoyt, and 4 great grandchildren; Quinten Ross, Josiah, Abigail, and Sarah Olmstead. 1 brother James Slaughter, 2 sisters: Linda Fletcher and Sandy (Ed) Ungerman; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
No visitation is scheduled.
Graveside services will be held on Saturday, June 23, 2012 at 1:00 p.m. at Maple Springs Cemetery, Benton, KY.
