Mr. James "Jim" DeMarco, age 57 of Benton, Kentucky passed away Tuesday, June 11, 2013, at Centennial Medical Center in Nashville, TN.

Born Monday, October 10, 1955 in Warren, Ohio, he was the son of the late Patsy DeMarco Sr. and the late Madeline (Colucci) DeMarco.

He was a Maintenance Planner for Wacker Chemical in Calvert City and was a Judge for the American Kennel Club. He was a breeder of German Short Haired Pointers and German Wire Haired Pointers. He honorably served his country in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam conflict. He was raised in the Catholic Faith.

Surviving are his wife, Tammy (Lee) DeMarco of Benton, KY., three sons, Jamie DeMarco of Youngstown, OH., Todd DeMarco of Houston, PA., and Kenny Whitney of Benton, KY., two daughters, Shannon Lawrence of Benton, KY., and Mary Quigley of Benton, KY., brothers, Frank DeMarco of Stevens Point, WI., and Patsy DeMarco Jr of McDonald, OH., sister, Rosemary Connley of Niles, OH. Six grandchildren; Skylar DeMarco of Houston, PA., Ashton Davis of Benton, KY., Madison Lawrence of Benton, KY., Adam Butler of Benton, KY., Domanic Whitney of Benton, KY., and Matthew Whitney of Benton, KY.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Ralph DeMarco.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Saturday, June 15, 2013, at Collier Funeral Home, 211 West 5th, Benton, Kentucky.

Funeral services will be held Sunday June 16, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of the Collier Funeral Home in Benton, KY. Lynn Jones will officiate.

Interment will follow the service in the Chestnut Oak Cemetery, Kuttawa, KY.

The family asks that memorial contributions be made to Canine Hope for Diabetics, 33785 Linda Vista Ln., Wildomar, CA 92595.
