PADUCAH, KY -- The trophies tell the story. They prove that 13 year old Boone Daniels is the newly crowned champion in his racing class in the Mid-South Motocross Series.

And it is all possible because of one person.

"It was all my uncle Toby," Boone said. "He got me into the sport and I am really thankful for that."

"He wanted to get into motorcycles and he took to it like a duck to water," said Toby McKinney, Boone's uncle.

It was easy to jump into racing because it is a family tradition. But it wasn't easy for Boone's mother to watch the races.

"I came to the first one and had to leave," Debbie Daniels said. "I decided to come back to the races because he broke his arm during the season."

"The wrecking part is what I am most afraid of," Boone said. "Most of the time I am just thinking about winning."

Racing can be an individual sport, because it is Boone winning the races. But for this family, it is a team sport where everyone helps.

"You help people, you get excited about the sport," McKinney said. "You try to help out when you can and give back to those who help you."

"I saw a growth and maturity in Boone," Debbie said. "The pride Toby had for him when he won was amazing."

"I cant express my feelings seeing him so excited," McKinney said.

"I will remember this year for the rest of my life," Boone said.
