All three of Johnson's touchdowns came in the first half, beginning with a 4-yard pass to Chris Gallon. Travis Greene ran for 133 yards on 17 carries, leading a Bowling Green rushing attack that featured four different players with touchdown runs. Greene's 8-yard score in the second quarter put the Falcons up 13-0 and began a streak of five consecutive touchdown drives for Bowling Green.

Jaamal Berry's 2-yard touchdown run in the third was the only score for Murray State (2-2). The Racers couldn't stop the Bowling Green offense, which totaled 660 yards.
