Cochran will miss US Senior Open

Paducah's Russ Cochran will miss this week's US Senior Open as he continues to deal with an injured right wrist.  Cochran has battled issues with that wrist for the majority of his career.  He withdrew from the Senior Players Championship two weeks ago when the wrist gave out on him again.
Doctors gave him a cortisone shot and he didn't pick up a club for ten days as he tried to let the wrist heal itself -- at least to the point where he can play in a tournament.  Cochran says his goal is to be able to play in the Senior British Open in two weeks.  He won that event back in 2011.
