Cubs, city of Chicago agree on Wrigley Jumbotron
CHICAGO (AP) - The proposed modernization of historic Wrigley Field has overcome an important hurdle.
The city's landmarks commission on Thursday unanimously voted to approve a deal allowing the team to build the 99-year-old ballpark's first electronic Jumbotron. The Cubs can also build another sign above the ivy-covered outfield walls. T
The owners of rooftop businesses oppose the project because they fear their negotiated views of the field will be obstructed.
The matter now goes to the City Council.
