KHSAA kicks off first ever state bass fishing tournament
The first-ever KHSAA Bass Fishing State Championship kicked off on Friday, at the KenLake Marina in Hardin. Forty-five teams advanced from the four regional tournaments to the state championship. Each two-person team is allotted eight hours on the lake, with the weigh-in beginning at approximately 3 p.m.
After day one, the team of Zach Warner and Ridge Porter from Muhlenberg County leads with five bass weighing in at 16 pounds, 3 ounces. Calloway County's Bracken Robertson and Dillon Starks are in fourth, with a weight of 15 pounds, 12 ounces.
