BOWLING GREEN, Ky. (AP) - Luke Guhy passed for 303 yards and three touchdowns to lead Mayfield to the Class A state championship with a 47-6 victory over Hazard County on Friday.

The Cardinals (15-0) forced four first-half turnovers to race to a 33-0 halftime lead on their way to their first state title since 2002.

The game started off well for Hazard (14-1) as Jon Combs threw a 41-yard completion to B.J. Combs on the first play from scrimmage. The Bulldogs turned it over on the next play, and Mayfield wasted little time taking advantage.

Mayfield scored on a 46-yard touchdown run by Jonathan Jackson on the ensuing possession and never looked back.

Devin Jones was Guhy's favorite target he found him 8 times for 121 yards and a touchdown.

Jon Combs passed for 163 yards and ran for 106 yards and a score for Hazard.
