MURRAY KY. -- Once again this summer, NCAA rules allow college basketball teams to practice in the summer with kids who are enrolled in summer classes. Murray State is taking full advantage of that as they begin individual workouts with full team practices beginning Wednesday.
"Its different this year not having guys like Isaiah, Ed, and Stacey around." Racers Head Coach Steve Prohm said. "Its a new start and an opportunity to work with some of the new guys on what we need to accomplish before the season."
Prohm is approaching this summer a little differently that last. This summer will consist of team workouts instead of individual.
"Last year we had so much experience that we didn't need to work on team drills," Prohm said. "Now we are focusing on what defense we need to run and what works with the guys we have."
