Former Racer Aska signs with Belgian team

Former Murray State standout Ivan Aska is heading to Belgium to begin his professional basketball career. Aska will play for the Leuven Bears. Aska averaged 10.6 PPG and 6.0 RPG last year, despite missing six games with a broken hand.


Aska was the Ohio Valley Conference freshman of the year back in 2008-09, and earned second-team All-OVC honors last season. He leaves Murray State as part of the winningest senior class in school history and is a member of Murray State's 1000-point club.
