Murray State head coach Chris Hatcher announced the additions of Jaamal Berry and Cadarious Sanders to the 2012 roster.  Berry will be allowed to practice, but is waiting for clearance for game participation.

Berry (5-11/200) joins the Racers after spending the last three seasons at Ohio State.  After redshirting his freshman year, Berry ranked 40th in the FBS by averaging 25.4 yards per kickoff return.  He rushed for a season-high 80 yards against Marshall and was named to the Rivals Big Ten All-Freshman team.

Berry was a prep standout at Miami Palmetto High School where he earned all-Dade County honors in leading the Panthers to the second round of the playoffs for the first time in 50 years.  He was selected to play in the Under Armour All-America game, and was rated as the No. 22 player overall in the ESPNU 150.  He was also rated as a four-star prospect by Rivals.com and Scout.com.

Sanders (6-0/189) spent the previous two years at South Carolina as a reserve cornerback.  After a redshirt season in 2010, Sanders appeared in seven games, making four tackles.  He joined the Gamecocks after a standout career at Troup County Comprehensive High School.  Sanders was rated as a three-star prospect by Rivals.com, Scout.com and ESPN.com.
