MURRAY, KY-- Monday marked the end of an era at Murray State University.  After twenty-seven years of public address announcing at MSU, Paul Radke is retiring.

The university held a retirement ceremony for him Monday afternoon. He says that when he first came to Murray, he only planned on being there for three years, but he's glad he stayed.

"The athletic program here is just wonderful," Radke said. "I hope I've added a little bit to the game in some way shape or form. I'm going to miss the players, I'm going to miss the coaches, I'm going to miss the fans. And I had the best seat in the house for 27 years, you can't ask for anything better than that."

Radke says he's not done working.  He may try to do some announcing with one of the minor league baseball teams when he moves to southern Alabama.
