The drivers behind the drivers

They're always moving.  The Michael Waltrip 55 hauler left Sonoma, CA on Sunday, drove to their shop in North Carolina and now they're at Kentucky Speedway.

"I didn't really actually look at this until we were up in Sonoma and I said, 'Wait a minute,' Glenn Shano, said.  Shano, along with John Murphy, drives the #55 hauler. "It is a real short turnaround. This is probably the shortest turnaround we actually have to participate in. With all the help, all the crew and everybody, they make it easy."

"It was big. But it wasn't too bad actually because we work together," Murphy said. "The two of us work together. One sleeps, one drives. The other drives, the other sleeps."

The hauler is always moving, except for a few stops for fuel. There's a lot of togetherness.

"I see Glenn more than I see my family," Murphy said. "It's almost like we're brothers."

"We're like a machine," Shano added. "Once we get rolling, it's just clockwork."

Coming to Kentucky as a member of Michael Waltrip's team already gets you a lot of attention. But Waltrip's car has a UK paint scheme this week, which will probably get them even more attention.  the crew's clothing is covered with UK logos.  Murphy says if Waltrip wins Saturday night: "We'll be mobbed."
