I've only got time for a quick writeup today.  After I spent an hour in the boss' office this afternoon, time is running short.  Don't worry, I'm still employed...for now.

A couple of interesting games tonight I want to touch on quickly.

Crittenden County at Caldwell County.  The Rockets have quietly been a buzzsaw the last couple of weeks, simply hammering McLean County and Webster County by a combined score of 114-8.  Al Starnes has his team rolling along, setting the stage for another epic showdown with Mayfield next month.  I was a little surprised at how little fight Caldwell showed last week against Lone Oak.  In this annual rivalry game, I expect a little more from the Tigers tonight.  I think Crittenden wins, but by less than 10 points.

Heath at Reidland.  This might be the biggest game in recent history for the Reidland program.  A win tonight and they can all but punch their tickets to the playoffs for the first time since 2001.  The Greyhounds haven't even won a district game since 2005.  To get to the playoffs they'll most likely need to snap that streak tonight.  Jon Hedges has Reidland at 3-1 for the second-straight year.  This game has been circled on their calendar all-season long.  Cory Tilford is in rebuilding mode at Heath right now, and I'm not sure they'll be able to slow down that Reidland running game.  I like the Hounds by 14 tonight.

Trigg County at Murray. The Tigers have won 21-straight regular season games, but last season they scored a season low 17 points against Trigg.  The Wildcats are coming off a bye-week, so you know Coach Burcham will have his boys ready for this district opener.  I expect a defensive slugfest, but the Tigers to prevail 17-10.

We'll have 11 games in all tonight on Gridiron Glory tonight.  We'll see you tonight at 10:15.

As for my "Fantastic Four" picks, last week I went 3-1.  So I'm sitting at 5-3 through two weeks.  Time to sell the house and move to Vegas.  As always, these are for entertainment purposes only...please no wagering.

Kentucky +14 at Florida. The Cats usually play well in Gainesville, at least well enough to keep it close.  Florida is a bit of an offensive mess right now, and UK has shown the ability to score in bunches.  This will be their toughest test of the year, but UK will keep it within a touchdown.

Arkansas State +11 at Troy.  I hate to go against Lone Oak alum Corey Robinson, but after Troy lost on a Hail Mary at the gun last week at UAB, I don't think they can scrape themselves off the mat enough to blow out the Red Wolves.

Stanford -4' at Notre Dame.  Speaking of heartbreaking losses, Notre Dame had that losing on a fake field goal in OT against Michigan State.  Add the fact ND isn't that good this year, I like Stanford to roll into South Bend and roll over the Irish.

Buffalo at New England -14.  Patriots are cranky after losing last week at the Jets.  Bills are brutal.  Easy rebound win for the Pats.

Have a great weekend everybody.  Don't forget to come see us at our Dream Factory fundraiser Monday night at Kentucky Shores Family Fun Center in Gilbertsville.
